Matt Cardona and Shotzi Blackheart have been arguing over who really deserves the Indy God nickname, and Cardona isnt happy about her infringing on his trademarked name. In fact, Cardona has now stated that he plans to sue Shotzi Blackheart and even claimed hell take her house as part of it.
While speaking to Daniel Menna, Matt Cardona accused Shotzi Blackheart of stealing his gimmick and infringing on his trademarks. He said that she was using names like Death Match King and Indie God, which he says he owns the rights to.
Cardona also threatened legal action, saying he knows where she lives and even talked about taking her house and turning it into a toy room, especially since hes building a house in the same neighborhood.
Cardona said when Shotzi was released, he felt bad for her. He wanted to help her out by adding her to his toy companys lineup, Big Rubber Guys, so she could make some money. He thought her look, green hair and tattoos would be popular with fans. He didnt really know her but figured it would help her and also help him make a profit.
However, he saw her using his names and trying to be part of the Garage Beer sponsorship hes involved with. That made him angry, and he said shes going too far by using things he sees as his own ideas and brand. He made it clear he doesnt like it at all.
This comes after Shotzi Blackheart already tore up legal papers served to her by Cardona. Matt Cardona and Shotzi Blackheart are scheduled to face off on July 11th at a GCW event in Dallas. The match will decide who truly deserves to be called the Indy God, so fans will have to wait and see who comes out on top.
