MJF is set to star alongside Adam Sandler in the highly anticipated movie Happy Gilmore 2, where hes actually working with WWE names as well. However, it appears that WWE actually asked for a Happy Gilmore 2 trailer that didnt include MJF to promote on Raw.

According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it was noted that Netflix clearly wanted to promote Happy Gilmore 2 on Raw, but both MJF and Becky Lynch have major roles in it.

Right before Netflix ads aired during the June 16th episode of Raw, it was said that WWE asked for a version of the trailer without MJF and the ad that aired didnt show MJF at all. This is despite the fact MJF plays Happy Gilmores son in the movie.

It is to be noted that besides MJF, Becky Lynch and Nikki Bella are also featured in the film and they were also part of the most recent trailer. However, its not known whether all three talent actually have scenes together just yet.

The Salt of the Earth portrays the role of Gordie, one of Adam Sandlers sons and MJF was given a role inHappy Gilmore 2becauseAdam Sandler was really impressed by his performance in the audition.

WWE asking to remove MJF from the Happy Gilmore 2 trailer might be their way of avoiding giving attention to an AEW star, but fans feel they shouldve used a trailer with MJF anyway. Regardless, people are more focused on the movie which is coming out on July 25, so well have to see how it will turn out.
