Booker T is making it crystal clearif youre stuck in the past, youre missing the point of todays wrestling. The two-time WWE Hall of Famer didnt hold back while discussing the generational shift happening inside the ring, and hes taking direct aim at veteran wrestlers and fans who cant stop comparing the past to the present.
Speaking with Adrian Hernandez on The Unlikely Podcast,, Booker talked about how the business has changed since his days grinding on the road. With WWE now recruiting talent through programs like NIL and LFG, he said people need to stop expecting the product to look like the 1980s or 1990s.
Then he fired the shot thats already lighting up fan forums and locker rooms alike:
Booker isnt just defending modern wrestlershes embracing their mindset. He explained that even though he comes from the old school, hes made peace with the new pace and style of todays performers.
This puts Booker on the opposite side of purists who slam current stars for using flips, big spots, or fast-paced storytelling. Hes made it clearwrestling evolves, and if youre not on board, step aside.
