Last month, AEW gave Mina Shirakawa a new theme song but switched it back during the same episode of Dynamite after a ton of backlash. A month removed from the whole drama, Shirakawa has finally addressed the controversy.

While speaking to Renee Paquette, Mina Shirakawa addressed the confusion and fan reaction surrounding her entrance music change during AEW Dynamite. Shirakawa revealed that when she returned to AEW, she wanted to make a change, including using a new theme song created by a friend.

Shirakawa made it clear she loved the new track and was excited to debut it. Shirakawa noted that Tony Khan eventually approved the new song as well.

After hearing the crowds reaction, Mina Shirakawa realized that many fans loved her old music and didnt want it to change. Shirakawa also admitted she was surprised by the change in music and thought it was a mistake.

After the match, she asked Tony Khan what happened with the music, and he told her that he really liked her old song. Mina said she likes both songs, but the original one feels more like Mina style and is very special to her fans.

This comes after musician Malover Troye claimed that a song he created was used as Mina Shirakawas AEW entrance theme on May 14th without his permission. He said a third party removed his vocals, tried to pressure him into giving up all rights to the song, and then sold the track to AEW.

While Mina Shirakawa or AEW for that matter didnt direct Troyes claims either, its clear people have ultimately moved on from the whole situation and fans are just happy she has her old song back.

Do you believe AEW should eventually change Mina Shirakawas theme again? Sound off in the comments.
