Carlito knew he wasnt getting a major push in WWEand he blames part of that on Triple H not being a fan of his on-screen character. Despite that, Carlito made the most of his time with Judgment Day by reinventing himself with humor and originality. In his mind, if WWE wasnt going to hand him a clear role, hed make one himself.
In his June 16, 2025 interview on Busted Open Radio, Carlito explained that he injected comedy into the segments himself, creating a lane for himself within the faction because he sensed he wouldnt be prioritized creatively. That self-awareness became his strength, and he leaned into it.
Despite that lack of backing, Carlito got fans on his side by being himself. He turned what could have been a forgettable run into something entertaining and memorable. His comedic lines in Judgment Day segments added depth to the group and showed his understanding of how to keep himself relevant, even when upper management wasnt interested.
