Nixon Newells second run in WWE didnt end the way shed have liked, as she was released back in November 2024. Before that, she was absent from television for a long time and now Newell has revealed that she pitched for multiple weeks but nothing really came of it.
While speaking to The Stardom Cast, Nixon Newell talked about her second time in WWE before she was let go. After coming back from injury, she worked with Liv Morgan, Natalya, and others. Even though she was still active, she had a feeling her time in the company was ending. She kept pitching ideas every single week, but none of them were accepted or used.
During that time, she wrestled often on Main Event, which she really enjoyed. The matches were at least eight minutes long, which gave her time to have fun and show her skills. She even got to be a heel a few times and wrestled people she liked working with, like Nikki Cross, Candice LeRae, and Dana Brooke.
However, she felt things changed when one of her ideas, playing a football hooligan character, actually made it through the creative process. It got approved by the higher-ups, and they were supposed to film it. Then, just two days before filming, the whole thing was canceled. Thats when she realized something was wrong and thought she might be getting released.
After that, she stopped wrestling. Some fans thought it was because she was sick. While she did have health issues at the time, she explained that she was still able to wrestle. She wasnt taken off TV because of her illness; it was for other reasons.
This comes after Nixon Newellalready called out WWE for making empty promises, among other things. Regardless, well have to see how 2025 turns out for Nixon Newell as its clear she is now more than determined to prove all of her doubters wrong in a big way.
