The Miz has been a constant presence on Friday Night SmackDown for several months thanks to his partnership with Carmelo Hayes. However, it appears hell be taking time off soon to film American Gladiators.
According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, The Miz will soon be heading to London to begin filming the latest incarnation of American Gladiators for Amazon Prime, where he will serve as the host.
As reported earlier, the new version of American Gladiators will have a team of top athletes from around the world, including bodybuilders, former college athletes, CrossFit winners, and fitness trainers. Some of the classic games like Gauntlet, Hang Tough, and The Eliminator will return, but there will also be new events added to test the players strength and endurance in fresh ways.
This would explain why The Miz and Carmelo Hayes have been at odds recently, with Hayes even telling The A-Lister he doesnt need The Mizs help and can do things on his own, which would be a way to write The Miz off from WWE television.
The Mizs new hosting role adds to his already impressive list of entertainment projects, which includes shows like Miz & Mrs., Cannonball, and several appearances on reality and talk shows. With this new gig, it remains to be seen when hell make his return to WWE television.
