It looks like Sin City is getting ready to go two-for-two. WWE WrestleMania 42 is reportedly almost a done deal to take place in Las Vegas, according to Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Live.
While nothing is official just yet, Alvarez noted that several major roadblocks have been removed, clearing the path for WWE to bring its biggest show of 2026 back to the desert.
New Orleans was previously in the lead to host WrestleMania 42, but WWE switched up its plans and awarded that city the 2026 edition of Money in the Bank instead. Now, Vegas is the frontrunnerand fans could soon be booking flights for a second straight WrestleMania in Nevada.
According to Alvarez, the holdup wasnt just about moneyit came down to logistics. One of the main issues was with Allegiant Stadium, where WWE planned to host the event. He explained:
There was also a problem with the Las Vegas Convention Center, the expected site of WWEs fan festival, formerly known as WrestleMania Axxess or WWE World. Alvarez didnt clarify how those problems were resolved but said that its full steam ahead now.
Alvarez gave the move his personal stamp of approval: Vegas again. Im fine with that. Its nice and warm.
If WWE makes it official, WrestleMania 42 would mark the first time the company has held its flagship event in the same city for back-to-back years. And for fans who love big fights, bright lights, and warm weather, Las Vegas isnt a bad repeat destination.
