WWE decided to shock the entire pro wrestling world after R-Truth and Carlito confirmed they would be parting ways with the company. Despite many people being surprised by their exits, RVD sees it differently and has now made it clear he laughs at WWE talent who are shocked by releases all the time.
While speaking on the 1 of a Kind podcast, RVD was asked about R-Truth and Carlitos WWE departures. RVD said he wasnt surprised that R-Truth and Carlito were let go from the company. He said every time someone gets fired, the news says WWE stars are shocked, but he laughs a little since its funny. He noted that WWE talent should expect these things to happen.
RVD stated that R-Truth had been with WWE for about 25 years, which is a long time. RVD didnt know much about Carlitos release but felt it was sad. Carlito had said he was hired but not used and wanted to work. RVD said some wrestlers like to keep working, while others dont mind getting paid to stay home.
RVD said both R-Truth and Carlito were surprised, but he wasnt. He thinks a 25-year run is a good career. He said WWE is like a family, but it has rules and conditions, its not unconditional love since people can be let go.
RVD added that every year when many people get fired, some act surprised, but he never felt like he was untouchable or needed so much that WWE couldnt do without him. Other wrestlers told him he was important, but he didnt fully believe it.
RVD added that its unfortunate when people get released, but its part of the business. Its disappointing, but everyone should stay humble and remember that WWE is only a family in a way. He said that WWE Superstars can build great relationships and meet people they can talk to for the rest of their lives, but in the end, they are just working together at the same job for now.
Quite a lot of people hijacked Triple Hs tweet about El Hijo del Vikingo as they were outraged over R-Truth and Carlitos WWE exits. Thats not all that happened as R-Truths exit made Superstars rethink their current contracts since no one expected he would ever be let go.
While R-Truth and Carlitos leaving surprised fans and other wrestlers, RVD just wanted to remind fans that nothing is certain in WWE. In the end, fans have to accept that wrestlers leave WWE all the time, and thats just how it works.
