R-Truth is still under WWE contract for a few more weeksbut that hasnt stopped the company from starting to erase him early. WWE has quietly removed his top-selling Ron Cena t-shirt from WWE Shop, despite it being one of the most popular items in recent weeks.
The shirt, a parody tribute to John Cena, exploded in popularity following Truths emotional match with Cena on Saturday Nights Main Event on May 24. That bout, which many now view as an unofficial sendoff, helped push the Ron Cena shirt into top-seller territoryright before WWE decided not to renew Truths deal.
According to earlier reports, the shirt was among WWEs highest-performing merchandise recently. But now, without a word, its been pulled from the store. Other R-Truth items remain availablebut the one fans were actually buying is gone.
Truth announced his exit early on June 1, posting the following on social media:
Hes still technically with the company until his contract runs outbut the sudden merch removal suggests WWE may already be wrapping up their business with him.
