Becky Lynch is officially part of the cast of Happy Gilmore 2, and shes not holding back about how special the experience was. The WWE superstar appears in the trailer for the upcoming Netflix sequel, which dropped on May 31, and now shes opening up about working alongside Adam Sandler.
Speaking to Sports Illustrateds Rick Ucchino, Lynch reflected on her childhood memories of watching the original Happy Gilmoreand how surreal it was to go from renting the movie in Ireland to filming its sequel in Hollywood.
Lynch made it clear she was a longtime Sandler fan, and being part of his project only deepened her respect for the comedy legend.
Beckys involvement adds major star power to a cast that already includes AEWs MJF, who plays Gordie, one of Happy Gilmores sons. Hes seen in the trailer participating in a chaotic car-beating scene, bringing plenty of attitude to the films over-the-top energy.
The sequel was officially unveiled during Netflixs Tudum event, with both WWE and AEW represented in the spotlight. WWEs Liv Morgan and Rhea Ripley even needed CM Punk to step in and separate them during a brief backstage confrontation at the event.
With Becky Lynch stepping deeper into the entertainment world, this marks another major crossover moment for pro wrestling and Hollywood.
