Another AEW contract is officially running outand this time, its Bear Bronson heading for the door.
The powerhouse tag team wrestler announced via social media on May 31 that he will become a free agent as of June 1, putting an end to his AEW chapter and opening the door for new opportunities across the wrestling world.
Bronson hasnt been seen on AEW or Ring of Honor programming since December 2024. His absence followed the January arrest of his tag team partner, Bear Boulder, who was subsequently released by AEW in February. While AEW stayed silent on Bronsons future at the time, its now clear that his contract will not be renewed.
He took to X to confirm the news, telling fans, supporters, and loved ones that hes ready to take full control of his wrestling future.
In a follow-up post, Bronson also thanked AEW for his time with the company, though he offered no hints about his next move.
With Abadon recently announcing their AEW departure and Mariah May expected to wrap up her deal as well, Bronson becomes the latest name to join a growing list of talent exiting the company in mid-2025.
Now out on his own, Bronson has made it clearhes betting on himself.
