WWE may have planned a roster draft in recent weeksbut pulled the plug at the last second.
According to Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Live, an internal draft was being considered for the same weekend WWE ran a four-show loop in Tampa, just a short drive from NXTs home base in Orlando. Alvarez detailed how the company seemed poised to execute major changes during that timeframe.
Instead of an announced draft, WWE shuffled talent behind the scenes. Ricky Saints lost the North American Title to Ethan Page. Stephanie Vaquer dropped her Womens Championship to Jacy Jayne in a chaotic main event. Jordynne Grace didnt appear, but her recent matches and reported deal suggest she might not be in NXT long either.
Alvarez connected these changes to WWEs original draft plans, suggesting that the shake-up may have been executed unofficially.
Looks like WWEs playing chess with its roster againjust without telling anyone what the next move is. Whether this is all part of some behind-the-scenes master plan or a pivot on the fly, one things clear: things in NXT arent staying the same for long.
