Decades after the infamous ECW crucifixion angle, the drama still isnt deadand Kurt Angle just reminded everyone hes not afraid to clap back.
The heat started when a clip resurfaced from the Legion of Skanks podcast featuring ECW legend The Sandman. In it, Sandman revisited the ECW High Incident show from October 1996, where Ravens Nest crucified him as part of a controversial storyline. At the time, Kurt Anglefresh off his Olympic gold medal winwas in the building, reportedly scoping out ECW as a potential landing spot.
After witnessing the angle firsthand, Angle left the building and cut off talks with the company altogether.
In the podcast clip, Sandman didnt hold back when describing Angles reaction: Angles a pussy for leaving. That insult didnt go unanswered. Angle jumped into the TikTok comment section to respond directlyand he wasnt in the mood for diplomacy.
Angle, who is currently signed to a WWE Legends contract, hasnt appeared on TV since January 2023. But if this back-and-forth is any indication, the fire still burnsand hes not about to let anyone rewrite the history of that night without a response.
