Bryan Danielson might not be done with pro wrestling just yet.
The former AEW World Champion made a surprise appearance at ACTION DEAN~!!!2 on May 24, stepping into the ring to share a moment with legendary luchador Blue Panther. The two embraced in the center of the ring as AEW talent Hologram stood alongside them, with fans erupting at the unexpected sight of Danielson back in front of a crowd.
The appearance is especially notable since Danielson hasnt been seen in an AEW ring since WrestleDream in October 2024, where he lost to Jon Moxley in a world title main event. In the months before and after that match, Danielson repeatedly hinted that he was nearing the end of his in-ring career, leading many fans to assume he had quietly stepped away from active competition.
Despite not wrestling at the indie event, Danielsons presence had people talking. There was no physicality, no run-insbut the moment with Blue Panther spoke volumes.
Behind the scenes, Danielson remains active with AEW in a backstage role, even stepping in as a disciplinary figure when needed. But whether hell ever officially lace up the boots again is still up in the air.
Was this just a respectful cameoor is Bryan Danielson testing the waters for a return to the ring?
