Bronson Reed made a massive statement with his return on WWE Saturday Nights Main Event, but behind the scenes, it turns out no one saw this alliance comingnot even WWE Creative until recently.
According to Fightful Select, Reeds surprise return and alliance with Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker wasnt the original plan. As of WrestleMania 41 week, WWE had no intention of adding another member to their faction. As of Mania week, the word was that nobody else was planned for the group, the report noted. That changed quickly, and now Reed finds himself right in the thick of one of RAWs most dangerous alliances.
Reed, who had been out of action since suffering an ankle injury during Survivor Series: WarGames, made his dramatic return by bulldozing CM Punk through a barricade during a tag team match. He then joined Rollins and Breakker in a savage post-match beatdown that left Punk laid out and fans stunned.
The Aussie powerhouse had previously hinted at a return with a cryptic tweet around WWEs Crown Jewel: Perth, writing, Will the WAVE GOD finally make it home? While that homecoming in Australia may still be coming, Reed is already back on WWE TVand in a much bigger role than expected.
