John Cena is still the last real champion in WWE, but which one is the real 17-time champ?
The WWE Saturday Nights Main Event on May 24, 2025, will take place at the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida. The night was full of a ton of big matches, including the Undisputed World Title.
John Cena and R-Truth started their feud after WWE Backlash. Cena attacked Truth and sent him through a table with an Attitude Adjustment. That set the stage for Saturday Nights Main Event.
John Cena made his way to the ring first, as this title match went down third on the card. Then R-Truth came out to Cenas music, but the 17-time champion jumped Truth during his entrance, which was a real shame.
Eventually, R-Truth started to go through Cenas 5 moves of doom on the 17-time World Champion. Then he nailed Cena with an AA for a near fall. That was a shocking moment, which was followed by Truth locking on an STF.
John Cena got free, and eventually grabbed his title. Before he hit Truth with it, he stalled, and offered his handshake to Truth. The referee turned to put the title back, and then Cena nailed a low blow before hitting an AA for the win.
We will have to see how the remainder of John Cenas heel run goes during his retirement tour. At this rate, anything is possible, just ask R-Truth.
