Bronson Reed is officially backand he made sure everyone noticed.
During the May 24 WWE Saturday Nights Main Event special on NBC, the massive Aussie shocked fans by making his surprise return in brutal fashion. As CM Punk and Sami Zayn battled Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker in a chaotic tag match to open the show, Reed stormed the scene out of nowhere and obliterated Punk through the barricade.
The crowd was already electric after Punks hot tag and near falls, but the tone instantly changed when Reed bulldozed through the Second City Saint. The shocking interference allowed Rollins and Breakker to score the win, and things escalated even further post-match.
Reed slid into the ring, squared up with Bron Breakker, and thento everyones surprisealigned himself with the faction. The three men then launched a vicious beatdown on Punk, leaving him laid out to close the segment.
This comeback was a long time coming. Reed had been out of action since injuring his ankle during a risky leap off the WarGames cage at Survivor Series, which sidelined him for months. Fans have been waiting for signs of his return, and Reed recently teased a comeback at WWE Crown Jewel: Perth, tweeting: Will the WAVE GOD finally make it home?
While a homecoming in Australia could still be on the table, this return on national television puts Reed right back into a top spotand hes clearly coming after one of WWEs biggest stars in CM Punk.
