Joe Hendry was nowhere to be seen at TNAs May 24 television tapingsjust one day before his historic title defense at WWE NXT Battleground.
TNA was back at the CAA Centre in Brampton, Ontario, taping two weeks of iMPACT! for AXS TV. But according to Ringside News on-site correspondent, Joe Hendry did not appear on either night of the tapings. Hendry wasnt featured in any matches, didnt cut a promo, and wasnt shown to the live crowd at all.
This is especially surprising given that Hendry is set to defend the TNA World Championship against Trick Williams tomorrow night.
Trick Williams was also absent from the tapings, making the situation even more unusual. While its possible that a backstage segment or off-site video was filmed for future airings, the complete lack of a live appearance from the reigning TNA Champion right before his biggest match to date has left many fans wondering whats really going on. With Battleground just a day away, this absence raises more questions than answers.
