Booker T is known for telling some outrageous wrestling stories, but this one might top them all.
During a recent episode of Reality of Wrestling, the WWE Hall of Famer looked back on WCWs Hog Wild pay-per-view in 1996an outdoor event held at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in South Dakotaand recalled how Harlem Heat almost got run out of town by a furious biker crowd.
The event took place on August 10, 1996, in front of a sea of mostly white motorcycle enthusiasts, with fans surrounding the ring on their Harleys. Harlem Heat defended the WCW Tag Team Titles against the Steiner Brothers, but it was what happened outside the ring that nearly stole the showand turned violent.
Booker described the surreal scene and how out of place he and his brother felt that night:
After Harlem Heat dominated the Steiners, the crowd turned hostile. And Booker made sure to pour gasoline on the fire.
Then came the part where even Booker admits he didnt fully think it through.
The chaos electrified the matchbut escaping afterward became the real challenge.
Booker Ts story is a raw, unfiltered look at one of the wildest crowd reactions in WCW historyand proof that sometimes, the most unforgettable moments come when things go completely off-script.
