All Elite Wrestling has several female teams, and they get to light up the screen on Dynamite and Collision every week. However, there are no championships for them to fight for. Tony Khan hasnt commented on this possibility, but it seems to be on the table.
Tony Khan spoke about the future of AEWs womens division during his media call ahead of Double or Nothing 2025. He was asked about the possibility of introducing AEW Womens World Tag Team Championships, Khan confirmed his interest in the idea.
Tony Khan then explained that the current focus is also on reestablishing the mens tag division, which has faced several setbacks due to injuries. That being said, a womens tag team division could be an interesting idea to consider.
AEW has seen the rise of several womens tag teams this year, so tag team titles may fit the need. For instance, Megan Bayne and Penelope Ford have teamed up, and Julia Hart has reunited with Skye Blue. It could be interesting to see more women pair up and form a tag team division.
