On a new episode of The Nikki & Brie Show on SiriusXM, the former WWE star, known as Nikki Bella, came out swinging against online backlash surrounding her divorce from Artem Chigvintsev and the speculation tied to a domestic violence incident. In an emotional statement, Nikki made it clear that shes not the villain in this storydespite what the internet may think.
She went on to explain why shes been able to move forward with confidence despite public criticism.
Nikki also pointed out that if the situation had been reversed, she wouldnt have hesitated to own it. But if something like thatif it was oppositeI would have taken accountability. I wouldve said, I f**ked up. I need help. But that was not me that day.
Her sister and co-host Brie Garcia added support, saying simply, It wasnt.
Nikki wrapped up her statement by calling out the unfair double standard she feels shes been held to. When I see people write all these thingsbecause Im a pro wrestler, thats not fair. And because Im a strong, independent woman, thats not fair.
