Scorpio Sky kept it respectfulbut it still wasnt enough to avoid some serious backstage heat.

On the debut episode of Creating Character: The Re-Debut, the AEW veteran opened up about the fallout from his much-discussed sit-down with Chris Van Vliet, revealing that despite going out of his way to protect the company, someone behind the scenes still took issue with what he said.

I didnt lie when I was on the show, Sky said about the interview. But I definitely went out of my way to not make the company look bad, you know? I really obviously wanted to preserve a relationship that had been built over a number of years, and so I didnt want to say anything that would like poison that relationship.

Turns out, being diplomatic didnt shield him from backlash. Come to find out, I think someone there still maybe had a few issues with some of the things I did say, he admitted. So now Im like, screw it. Im gonna say whatever the hell I want now.

The former TNT Champion didnt name names, but his frustration came through loud and clear. What was supposed to be a carefully worded appearance meant to maintain goodwill may have ended up costing him more than expected.

Sky made it clear hes not interested in burning bridgesbut if someones already holding a grudge, hes not going to keep quiet anymore.
