Zoey Starks WWE career has just hit a major roadblockand the news keeps getting tougher.
According to Fightful Select, the knee injury Stark suffered during the May 19 episode of WWE Raw is far more serious than initially expected. While shes seemingly indicated via social media that surgery is in her future, backstage reports now suggest WWE is preparing to be without her for the rest of the year.
The WWE Raw star sustained a knee injury on May 19, in a gruesome sight, the report states. She was removed from the match and helped to the back. She also noted on Twitter that she wouldnt be able to perform for quite some time.
The early belief among those backstage is that Stark may have suffered a tear requiring surgery, though an official diagnosis has not yet been publicly confirmed. Still, WWE officials are reportedly bracing for a long recovery timelinepossibly extending through the end of 2025.
The injury took place just moments into Starks Womens Money in the Bank qualifying triple threat match with Rhea Ripley and Kairi Sane. She was pulled from the bout during a commercial break and escorted backstage. The match outcome had to be rewritten on the fly, and Sane was unexpectedly pinnedsomething not originally planned for her return.
In a heartfelt tweet posted on May 21, Stark addressed her fans directly: Wow the love and support means more to me than youll ever know! What hurts more than my knee is knowing I wont be able to perform for all of you for a while As the saying goes, the comeback is greater than the setback. Love you guys.
As of now, no official return timeline has been shared by WWE, but this injury is clearly more than just a temporary setbackit could sideline one of Raws rising stars for the long haul.
