AEW Dynamites May 21 episode went down in the Rio Rancho Events Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It was quite a night, and that included a big segment for MJF.
MJF finally got the thumbs up he needed from the Hurt Syndicate, and he joined their faction. This week on AEW Dynamite, they finally got around to putting pen to paper.
The Salt of the Earth was on hand for a contract signing with the Hurt Syndicate. This segment closed out the shows first hour. Prior to that, they had a backstage segment to hype the signing.
MVP hyped MJFs induction into the Hurt Syndicate. He also addressed fans booing as he put MJF over as better than the fans, and they know it. Then it was time for MJF to come out to rile fans up a bit. MVP interrupted fans booing and chanting against MJF to tell them that they suck instead.
Smart Mark Sterling then laid out the contracts, and then it was time for everyone to sign the dotted line. MVP, Shelton Benjamin, and Bobby Lashley all signed the deal, even though the All Mighty had to think about it for a bit. MVP also had to tell fans to shut up as they tried to handle business. At that point, MJF put on his Hurt Syndicate hat just before Sammy Guevara and Dustin Rhodes came out. The two will face the Hurt Syndicate at Double or Nothing for their titles.
Rhodes told MJF to shut up, and he called him out for always talking and never actually wrestling. He then warned MVP to watch out for MJF, because hes a snake in the grass. Dustin Rhodes dared them to hurt him next. MVP tried to cut Dustin Rhodes off, but he wasnt hearing it. Dustin then said that if he were a betting man, hed bet on the Day One guys like himself and Guevara.
We will have to see what happens next for the Hurt Syndicate and MJFs story in AEW. At this rate, anything is possible, because few people thought he would get Bobby Lashelys thumbs up in the first place.
