Karrion Kross is known for his intense demeanor and unique look, but fans almost saw a major transformation late last yearand it had nothing to do with his in-ring storylines.
In a new update from his May 21, 2025 appearance on The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani, Kross got real about a moment that couldve changed everything. While Ariel jokingly asked if the buzz cut version of Kross might ever return, the WWE Superstar revealed a heartfelt plan that didnt pan out.
I actually almost shaved my head in December, Kross said. I was going to donate my hair to a charity that was going to turn it into a wiglike a wig for kids that are suffering from hair loss for whatever it is that they were doing.
According to Kross, WWE was open to the idea but wanted to tie it into a creative storyline. Timing became an issue and the angle never moved forward. Even so, Kross made sure to support the cause in another way.
They wanted to time it creatively so we could kind of kill two birds with one stone, but that didnt come around I made a good donation in the absence of donating my hair. So I work with them on the side.
This moment of vulnerability came during a broader conversation about Kross past and present in the wrestling worldincluding a moment when he nearly joined AEW. He confirmed that he had been in touch with Cody Rhodes before returning to WWE in 2022, but things shifted once Triple H reached out.
Mmmhm, yes. The communication just organically fell off with Cody and me at the time, and in the process of communicating with him when he was there, Hunter had called me and I was like, Were turning right, were going next lane, boom.
Kross return to WWE eventually led to a heated program with Drew McIntyre, and nearly three years later, hes finally getting the recognition he felt was missing during his first run. But fans now have one more what if to think aboutwhat could have been if Kross had brought back the fade for something bigger than a look: a cause.
