The May 14 episode of AEW Dynamite featured a big segment for MJF as he finally joined the Hurt Syndicate. Along the way, there was some question about how MVP took over transitioning to commercial break, and now we know more about the situation.
In a report on Fightful Select, Sean Ross Sapp addressed online speculation surrounding MVPs throw to commercial break during the segment involving MJF and the Hurt Syndicate. According to Sapp, the moment was scripted and planned as part of the show.
In case you missed it, during this weeks AEW Dynamite, MVP approached MJF backstage and said it was necessary that MJF appear in the ring after the Hurt Syndicates upcoming match.
Following the Hurt Syndicate demolishing Top Flight, a skirmish went down with several run-ins to stop their post-match attack, and then it was time for MVP to speak, but they needed to cut to commercial.
MVP said that fans need to stick around after commercial break to see MJF finally get whats coming to him. In the end, MJF got the thumbs up that he needed from Bobby Lashley and he joined the faction.
We will have to see what is next for the Hurt Syndicate and MJF, but it appears they are going to align themselves with each other for a bit. Only time will tell if that brings more gold to the group, but they are off with some positive momentum.
