WWE brought the finals for the first season of LFG on A&E. The network has already renewed the show for six more seasons, which only proves its success. By the end of the night, a champion was crowned as an NXT contract was given out.
After weeks of eliminations and key moments, the final four competitors met at Madison Square Garden for the LFG Championship. In the womens division, Tyra Mae Steele from Team Undertaker faced Zena Sterling from Team Bubba Ray Dudley. The match determined who would leave with the title.
Tyra Mae Steele defeated Zena Sterling to win the womens final. Her victory closed out a strong tournament run and opened the door for what comes next in her WWE path.
The Undertaker coached Steele to the win, making him the only legend represented in both division finals. Shawn Michaels stepped in to officially crown the first LFG champion. In the end, Steele won the NXT contract when everything was said and done. This was a big win for Steele, and a big get for NXT, as she is a former Olympic Gold Medalist.
