WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross has been part of the AEW family since day one and he is clearly happy to be there. With that said, good ol JR made it clear he is in AEW to get his money.
While speaking to Inside the Ropes, Jim Ross was asked if he was surprised that Cody Rhodes left AEW. He said he wasnt, because Cody had a major opportunity waiting in WWE where he could reach his full potential. In Rosss opinion, Cody Rhodes had already hit his ceiling in AEW.
Ross made it clear he wasnt knocking AEW, saying they pay him well, he enjoys being there, and that the people are good, and also bluntly pointed out that hes there to get his money, saying, Im not knocking AEWtheyre paying me well, and I enjoy my time there. Theyre good people, and I get my money.
This comes after Jim Ross signed a new deal with AEW last year, ensuring he will be sticking with the company for a longer period of time, and fans will continue to see him whenever possible.
Jim Ross has always been known for his unfiltered honesty, so him admitting hes in AEW for the money isnt surprising at all. As Ross continues his run in AEW, fans will definitely appreciate his legendary voice and no-nonsense attitude for years to come.
