Jake The Snake Roberts is facing another significant health battle. The WWE Hall of Famer and current AEW manager underwent heart ablation surgery today, May 13, 2025, as revealed by his wife Cheryl Roberts on Instagram.

This isnt the first health scare for Roberts. Over the years, hes faced numerous life-threatening conditions, including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), diabetes, and a battle with substance abuse that nearly cost him his life. In 2014, Roberts was diagnosed with double pneumonia, and later that same year, he was rushed to the hospital after a cancerous tumor was found behind his knee.
Despite the grim prognosis, Roberts fought back with the help of Diamond Dallas Page and his DDP Yoga program, which played a major role in his recovery. He managed to turn his life around, shedding weight and overcoming addiction, eventually earning a place in the WWE Hall of Fame in 2014.
In recent years, Roberts has continued to face health issues, including hospitalization for respiratory complications in 2021. Despite these challenges, he remains a fixture in All Elite Wrestling, bringing his signature intensity as a manager and mentor to the current roster.
With his latest surgery, fans and fellow wrestlers are once again rallying behind Roberts, hoping for another miraculous recovery.
