WWE hasnt officially announced the location for Evolution 2 yet, but a recent job listing from Fanatics might have just given it away.
According to a listing posted on May 9, the retail giant is looking to hire a Retail Event Associate for a WWE event listed as Evolution in Atlanta.
The timing of the post is raising eyebrows, as it previously reported that WWE was considering hosting the all-womens event in Atlanta as part of a double-shot weekend with Saturday Nights Main Event on July 12. While WWE has remained tight-lipped about the rumored event, the Fanatics job posting is a strong indication that plans for Evolution 2 may be locked in.
The original plan for Evolution 2 was to hold the event at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut on July 5, but Cory Hays of PWN claimed a scheduling conflict forced WWE to move the event. Now, Atlanta appears to be the new destination, with Evolution 2 potentially aligning with the SNME taping.
The first Evolution event in 2018 was a landmark moment for WWEs womens division, but ticket sales were reportedly challenging despite the show being held at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, New York. With Atlanta now positioned as the possible host city, WWE could be aiming for a bigger turnout and a stronger overall presentation.
Will Evolution 2 in Atlanta recapture the magic of the first all-womens event, or is WWE setting itself up for another uphill battle? Drop your thoughts in the comments below.
