Sabu passed away at the age of 60 recently and the pro wrestling world is still coming to grips with that fact. People from all over the world are sharing stories about how kind and special he was and it appears one fan even shared how Sabu paid for him and his brother to go to their WWE event.
A Reddit user named Forsaken-Natural4121 shared a story about how Sabu helped him and his younger brother go to their first WWE show. He was a young adult at the time, raising his little brother, and they didnt have much money.
On April 1, 2007, WrestleMania 23 was happening near them. They went to the back gate just hoping to get some autographs before going home to watch the show on TV. He was 18 and his brother was 16. All his money was going to rent and food, so they couldnt afford tickets.
They met some WWE stars like Ashley Massaro, John Cena, Tommy Dreamer, Rob Van Dam, and Melina, which made them feel a little better. Then Sabu showed up and said, You guys should be inside by now, dont miss out!
When they explained they didnt have the money, Sabu reached into his wallet and gave them enough to get good seats. A venue manager helped them get into the show, and their very first WWE event ended up being WrestleMania.
The user said he will never forget Sabu, and he was happy he got to thank him in person years later at WrestleCon. He also mentioned that his younger brother sadly passed away in 2009 and asked Sabu to say hello to him in heaven.
