The Backlash Premium Live Event saw Pat McAfee face off against GUNTHER in a match that saw McAfee give his best effort but ultimately lose to the Ring General. Following Backlash, GUNTHER has now revealed the future of his rivalry with Pat McAfee.
GUNTHER took to his Instagram story and commented on Pat McAfees post, where McAfee showed off his chest being red after getting hit with GUNTHERs chops. GUNTHER kept his message short and sweet, revealing that his rivalry with Pat McAfee is finally over as he simply said, Done and dusted.
In the final moments of the match, Pat McAfee tried to lock in a sleeper hold on GUNTHER, but GUNTHER countered with a hard kick to the head and then put McAfee in a sleeper hold of his own until the referee stopped the match.
After the match ended, McAfee got back on his feet and had a tense stare-down with GUNTHER. Before leaving, GUNTHER gave McAfee a respectful nod, showing appreciation for the bout. However, its to be noted that Pat McAfees status for the upcoming episode of Raw is in question following GUNTHERs brutal beating.
With the rivalry now over, GUNTHER is looking ahead to new opponents. Fans are eager to see whats next for the Ring General, especially as many hope to see him become a World Champion again soon.
