WWE confirmed during the Backlash Premium Live Event that Night of Champions will be taking place in Saudi Arabia on June 28, and in the promo video, CM Punk was featured as he was advertised for the show. Unsurprisingly, quite a few fans have now called out Punk for being a hypocrite.
A fan took to Twitter and commented on CM Punk being advertised for Night of Champions, stating that they knew he couldnt resist the Saudi money, saying, I knew this guy love that saudi money lmao, pointing out how CM Punk was always vocal about his hatred for Saudi Arabia and yet is now being advertised just for the money.
Another fan asked if Pepsi Man was drowning in blood money, taking a shot at CM Punks involvement in the Saudi event, saying, Drowning in blood money, Pepsi Man?! Meanwhile, another fan outright called CM Punk a hypocrite, saying, What a hypocrite.
It didnt stop there as another fan called CM Punk a sellout, saying, F****** sell out. Another fan brought up CM Punks previous remarks about Saudi Arabia, saying, I wonder if hell be sucking blood money covered d*** while hes over there..?
CM Punks stance on WWE working with Saudi Arabia came to light back in 2020. The Miz appeared on WWE Backstage back in early 2020, where he had a few choice words for CM Punk.This led to a response from the Second City Savior where he said:Go suck a blood money covered d*** in Saudi Arabia you f******* dork.
We will have to wait and see whether CM Punk will actually end up getting booked at Night of Champions this year as there is no guarantee that will happen. Even then, many fans have already passed their judgment on Punk and thats unlikely to change anytime soon.
