The main event of WWE Backlash 2025 might have already been spoiled before the show even airs.
John Cena is set to defend his Undisputed WWE Championship against Randy Orton in whats being billed as their final match. While Orton has been relentless in his pursuit, Fightful Select is now claiming that Cena is likely to walk out of Backlash still holding the gold.
Those that we spoke to claimed that John Cenas title reign was to continue into the Summer, hinting that the 16-time World Champion isnt losing his grip on the top prize anytime soon.
Randy Orton has been on a mission to take Cena down, delivering multiple RKOs in the lead-up to their showdown. Despite Ortons aggressive approach, Cenas reign might not be ending as WWE reportedly has plans for Cena to carry the title well into the Summer.
In addition to Cena and Ortons clash, Backlash 2025 will also feature Dominik Mysterio defending the Intercontinental Championship against Penta and Jacob Fatu putting his United States Title on the line in a fatal four-way against LA Knight, Damian Priest, and Drew McIntyre.
If the report holds true, WWE could be positioning Cena for a major storyline as the company heads into the hotter months. But is Randy Orton really going to be denied one final shot at glory, or is there still a twist in store?
