MVP is always proud of his background and doesnt shy away from speaking his mind. Recently, he criticized Hulk Hogan for his racist comments and now it appears he even mocked Hogan for messing up Shelton Benjamins name.
MVP took to his Instagram and uploaded a video while on a flight, heading to Detroit for AEW Dynamite. In the video, he sat across from his close friend, Shelton Benjamin, and mocked Hulk Hogan for messing up Benjamins name. MVP joked that Benjamin wasnt amused and added that he didnt want to get hurt.
This comes after Hulk Hogan recently promoted his new Real American Freestyle Wrestling promotion alongside Eric Bischoff, he gave shoutouts to several amateur wrestlers who impressed him over the years, including Kurt Angle, Brock Lesnar, and Shelton Benjamin. However, Hogan referred to Benjamin as Benjamin Shelton. He messed up Benjamins name in the past as well.
Benjamin would then fire back on Twitter, not holding back as he wrote, Message to @HulkHogan. You lost me forever with your dont get caught or as you would call it apology speech. So rather than screw up my name and pretend we ever had any sort of camaraderie, which we never had, please do me a favor & the tweet ended with a meme of Will Smith yelling, KEEP MY NAME OUT OF YOUR F**KING MOUTH.
Hulk Hogans racist comments were made public in 2015 and since then, his reputation has changed forever. While Eric Bischoff has downplayed the racist remarks as a one-time mistake, its clear MVP will never forget what Hogan did.
