Bea Priestley is officially a free agent after her WWE non-compete clause expired on May 8, and shes feeling a sense of relief.
During a new interview with Tom Campbell of Cultaholic, the former Blair Davenport opened up about her release, admitting that it was a wake-up call she didnt see coming.
As soon as I got the call, I was like, Oh, I can go back to being Bea again, Priestley said with a laugh. You dont realize how unhappy you are until you feel happy that you got the call saying that you dont have a job anymore.
Despite her abrupt exit, Priestley revealed that she was overwhelmed by the amount of support she received from talent within WWE. The amount of outreach I got from actual talent within the company basically saying how sorry they were and they wish me the best and theyre sure Ill be back or be fine, it was nice to be like, Oh wow, a lot of people do actually care about me, she shared.
Priestley had only just been called up to the main roster before her release, making her exit feel even more abrupt. Now, shes ready to get back to being Bea and with her reputation as one of the top womens wrestlers outside of WWE, its only a matter of time before she finds her next move.
