Shotzi Blackheart is shedding light on just how lost she felt during the final months of her WWE runand how she had to take matters into her own hands just to be heard.
During an appearance on Busted Open Radio, the former NXT standout admitted that uncertainty surrounding her status led her to do something drastic: cut her own promo out of desperation.
After being cleared from injury in early December, Shotzi tried to rebuild momentum by working in NXT. She got back in the ring with Gigi Dolin and Tatum Paxley and fell in love with the idea of bringing them to the main roster. But when plans changed suddenly and no one in management had any real answers, she hit a breaking point.
I was told like, Oh youre gonna start a storyline with Chelsea, which was all forChelsea is super greatand they bring me into SmackDown. Theyre like rehearsing my entrance on the Tron and then they cut it. And then it was like week after week, nothing and nothing, Shotzi said.
Feeling left in the dark, Shotzi decided to take matters into her own hands. On May 1, 2025, she posted a raw, emotional video from her garage, delivering one of the most personal promos of her career. In the promo, she opened up about feeling like shed lost herself amid the setbacks, injuries, and lack of direction from WWE.
I wish I could stand here and tell you that I walked through the fire and rose from the ashes like a damn phoenix. But you know what? Thats not my story. I struggleda lot. I fought through years of darkness, she said.
I never asked for time off, even when I was down to just a sliver of who I used to be. I held on. I held on, hoping that same carefree Ballsy Badass would come back. But you know what I realized? As I was rebuilding myself, I realized that Ballsy Badass? Shes gone. Shes gone, and shes never coming back. And thats okay, she added.
Shotzi ended the promo with a defiant message, making it clear that the new version of the Ballsy Badass isnt here to play games. Now? Now Im also unstoppable. The Ballsy Badass isnt just back. Shes evolved. And this timenothing, and I mean nothingcan shake me.
Shotzis brutally honest words show just how much she was holding in, and now, shes ready to let the world see what shes truly capable of.
