Shotzi Blackheart had big goals in WWEand they went far beyond just appearing on one show a week.
During her interview on Busted Open Radio, the recently released superstar revealed that she was pushing hard to become one of the rare talents who worked across Raw, SmackDown, and NXT all at once.
According to Shotzi, her plan was to be everywhere and help elevate the next generation of talent while continuing to build her own momentum. I hit up Korbin and I was like, Yo, I wanna get on NXT too, because Ive always wanted to be that superstar that was on Raw and SmackDown, on all the live events, and on NXT and like helping the generation come up, she explained. And I really felt like I was like on the cusp of being that.
Before her injury, she was gaining traction on the live event circuit, consistently working with top-tier talent like Charlotte Flair, Asuka, and Bayley. Shotzi recalled, I was having really great matches on live events I had a good showing at WarGames. Like, Hunter put me over in the post-press conference on that.
Unfortunately, her injury derailed those plans, and the momentum she had worked so hard to build came to a halt. Despite her effort to stay involved and help talent like Gigi Dolin and Tatum Paxley in NXT, her full-time return never materialized the way she had hoped.
Shotzi Blackheart may be out of WWE, but shes far from done. With her sights set on the indie scene and a chip on her shoulder from her WWE experience, its clear shes ready to prove everyone wrong. The question now is whether WWE missed out on a breakout star or if Shotzis true potential was just waiting to be unleashed elsewhere. Stay tunedthis could get interesting.
