The May 2nd episode of Friday Night SmackDown will continue to build towards next weeks Backlash Premium Live Event. However, it appears that a big name will be missing this weeks SmackDown.

According to a report by PWInsider Elite, Drew McIntyre is not backstage at tonights episode of Friday Night SmackDown and will not be appearing on the show. Therefore, fans shouldnt expect him there in any capacity.

This comes after Drew McIntyre was involved in a solid angle with LA Knight, Jacob Fatu and Damian Priest on the April 25th edition of Friday Night SmackDown, as fans felt the Scottish Warrior was going to be involved in the United States Title picture.

Reports have also noted that the Scottish Warrior is expected to receive a push into the World Title scene eventually, but there is no indication of that happening at this point in time.
