WWE just made some quiet but serious moves behind the scenesand its already costing jobs.
A wave of internal layoffs hit the company on Wednesday, with several departments taking a direct hit in what looks to be part of another round of corporate restructuring.
According to PWInsider Elite, the cuts impacted Creative Services, Photography, and other key areas. One of the most high-profile names let go was Christine Lubrano, who served as WWEs Senior Vice President of Creative Writing Operations. Lubrano had been a major player in the companys scripted content division, helping steer the direction of storytelling on TV.
While WWE hasnt officially commented on the cuts, sources inside the company estimate that at least 10 to 12 staff members were releasedwith that number potentially growing as things unfold.
These layoffs come on the heels of past restructuring efforts following the WWE and UFC merger under the TKO Group umbrella, and it seems the cost-cutting isnt slowing down just yet.
How do you feel about WWE trimming more of its creative and production staff? Could these changes impact the on-screen product? Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comment section below.
