Ricochet is fully embracing his heel energyon and off-screen.
After a Twitter user reacted to a story about Tony Khan expressing hope that Ricochet would remain with AEW forever, one fan tried to downplay the praise by commenting: They can keep him. The implication? Ricochet wouldnt be welcomed back to WWE by fans even if he wanted to return.
Ricochet saw the tweet and didnt hold back. Quote-tweeting a photo of the fan, he wrote: Ugly ahh boy look just like Oswald Cobblepot . A brutal comparison to Batmans Penguin villainand fans quickly noticed.
This moment came the same day Ricochet responded to a different fan who mocked his AEW run by pointing out he hadnt won a world title since leaving WWE. Ricochet shut that down with a personal response: No, the main reason was that the WWE ruined my love and passion for the sport that I grew up loving. AEW helped me find that love again.
Since arriving in AEW at All In last year, Ricochet has become a standout villain in the company. Tony Khan recently praised him in an interview, saying hes building one of the best characters in wrestling and called him one of the most compelling and interesting people in wrestling.
Between the online heat and his work in the ring, Ricochet is making it clear hes not here to play niceand he doesnt care who takes offense.
