Bully Ray has seemingly taken a veiled dig at AEW over how it handled Royce Keys, formerly known as Powerhouse Hobbs, compared to WWE.Keys, who debuted in WWE at the start of the year after six years in AEW, has been featured in a prominent storyline on WWE television, leading the 946 against The Bloodline. Ray said on "Busted Open" that he isn't shocked by how effective Keys has been in WWE, criticizing other promotions for not knowing how to get the best out of their wrestlers."I'm not nearly as shocked [as to how Keys has been used in WWE]," said Ray. "Some places just don't know how to utilize talent to their maximum potential."Ray believes that Keys' screen time and the way she has been utilized on WWE television, which he hinted wasn't the case in AEW, come down to timing. He considers timing an important factor in any wrestler's success in pro wrestling."A term that you hear over and over and over again in the world of professional sports entertainment timing is everything," Ray added. "Now, that goes for real life, but my god, timing is everything truly when it comes into play in our world. It really does. Timing was right for Royce Keys."WWE has pushed several former AEW stars, including Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, and Penta, and Keys the leader of 946 could be next in line. Keys is aiming high in WWE, outlining his goal of winning a championship by the end of the year. However, WWE appears to have even bigger plans for him, with reports indicating that the TKO-owned promotion sees him as a potential future world champion. For now, Keys and his 946 group are set to battle it out with The Bloodline, with the match likely set to take place at Survivor Series at the end of November.
