
Independent wrestler Jeff Cannonball (Jeff Guerriero) has died at the age of 39. In early 2025, he announced that he had been diagnosed with ALS. His wife, Terra Calaway (Sam Guerriero) announced on social media that Guerriero had passed at 2 AM on Thursday.She posted a photo of Guerriero with their son, Milo. Sam wrote that her husband had passed less than an hour after watching his favorite movie, "Dirty Work"."Jeff Guerriero, the funniest, wittiest, most charismatic man I have ever had the privilege of knowing let alone get to marry, spend 10 years with, and create a little clone of in our son Milo, has passed away after his battle with ALS. His impact on his family, friends, his community, and the world is endless. Jeff Guerriero and Jeff Cannonball will live forever." Sam wrote.She continued by saying she will mourn Jeff for the rest of her life while raising their son as someone he would be proud of. Sam concluded that ten years was not enough time and she would do this in every lifetime if it meant she got more time with him.Last September, Joey Janela organized a charity event called "CannonballFest". In addition to a wrestling show, items were up for raffle. Many wrestlers contributed items including Cody Rhodes, who donated his robe from WWE Bad Blood. Darby Allin donated the boots he wore while climbing Mt. Everest. Danhausen, Brody King, and Megan Bayne also donated items to the raffle.Sam wrote two children's books to help explain ALS. Additionally, she started the Guerriero Project, a non-profit organization to help kids with terminally ill parents "regain a sense of normalcy and comfort".Guerriero was a two-time World Heavyweight Champion and two-time tag team champion in H2O and was inducted into the Deathmatch Hall of Fame last year by GCW. Tributes have been coming in from many wrestlers, such as Nyla Rose, Tony Deppen, Colby Corino, and WARHORSE.
