The venomous animosity between Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton continues to run deep, as these two former friends turned bitter adversaries are far from closing the book on their rivalry. Recently, both men sat down separately with veteran play-by-play commentator Michael Cole, describing what's next for the other. Paying close attention to each one of their sit-down interviews, their verbiage, their body language, and their overall demeanor, Bully Ray says Orton's interview was the most believable out of the two."When Randy Orton spoke to Michael Cole the other night, I believed him. There was conviction," the TNA and WWE Hall of Famer said on "Busted Open Radio." "His body language. The way he asked his rhetorical questions. The way he answered for Michael Cole. The way he got up out of his seat and got right in Cole's face. The way he asked him, 'Do you really think?' I loved Randy Orton last Friday night on 'SmackDown.'"As for Rhodes, whose interview was on the September 18 edition of "SmackDown," Ray wants the "QB1 of WWE" to stop acting so heroic, and tap more into his heelish side. Ray knows there is a lot more than meets the eye with Rhodes."I wished I would have seen more from Cody," Ray mentioned. "Now, 'SmackDown' last Friday night was a very good night for Cody. But between the two of them, I feel it a lot more from Randy...There's going to have to come a time where Cody stops acting like Cody, and loses his temper or his control. Or there's a shift in his demeanor. Not whispering in somebody's ear with an F-bomb."At this time, both men each have a victory over the other. Rhodes' came at this year's WrestleMania 42, when he successfully retained his former Undisputed Championship and foiled Orton and Pat McAfee's plans on having Orton become a 15-time World Champion by any means necessary. As for Orton, after toying with Rhodes' soft side, he captured a singles victory off of him at Sunday Night's Main Event last month. As of press time, a trilogy match between the two has not been announced yet.If you use any of the quotes in this article, please credit "Busted Open Radio" with a h/t to Wrestling Inc. for the transcription.
