Following the end of last night's tribute episode of "AEW Dynamite," dedicated to the memory of the late Pac, his Death Riders stablemate Jon Moxley grabbed a microphone and addressed the crowd in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Moxley began by acknowledging that there were no words that could do justice to the loss of Pac, but he shared a story about his friend (via Dominic DeAngelo on X)."[We were] sitting in a sauna in my basement doing a promo," Moxley said. "Just 'cause we thought it was funny for him to be sitting in a sauna, sweating, being the B*****d, miserable in a sauna. And describing who we are, what this team is, what we do every single day and he said ... 'We are professionals who give a s***.' And it's probably my favorite thing anybody has ever said, and it's what we aspire to ... every single day."Moxley went on to emphasize that, although Pac was referring to professional wrestling, his sentiment can and should apply to everyone out there listening."Whatever it is you do, do it with purpose, and give a s***," he continued. He concluded by stating that he doesn't know anything for certain, but Moxley believes Pac's statement might serve as the "key to life."Last night's "Dynamite" featured both live and pre-recorded tributes to "The Man That Gravity Forgot," bookended by Moxley wrestling Orange Cassidy and the in-ring return of Bryan Danielson alongside the Death Riders. It was an undeniably emotional evening, both for the performers themselves as well as the audience watching live and at home.Pac died this past Sunday at 40 years old, less than one day after wrestling a singles match at AEW All Out near Chicago, Illinois. If you use any quotes from this article, please credit Dominic DeAngelo and provide a h/t to Wrestling Inc. for the transcription.
