Former ROH World Champion Jonathan Gresham has launched a new promotion in collaboration with QT Marshall's 1 Fall Wrestling and PRODUCE.Gresham wrestled for PRODUCE over the past week both on September 13 in Jersey City and more recently over the weekend as part of the Pez Whatley Invitational, co-promoted withAS and ACTION Wrestling, in Red Bank, Tennessee. Gresham won the eponymous tournament and has since announced a long-term working relationship with PRODUCE and 1FW to launch his own promotion:"January 9, 2027. A new platform. A different approach. M.A.G. [Modern Age Grappling] is the style. ROUND 1 is the promotion. In collaboration with 1FW & PRODUCE, we're creating a space for another expression of professional wrestling to exist. This is the beginning. ROUND 1 January 9."Gresham spent a brief time with AEW as ROH World Champion, winning the title on the final show before the promotion went on hiatus before its acquisition by AEW President Tony Khan in 2022.He continued to defend the title on Khan's first ROH Supercard of Honor that year, then twice more on "AEW Battle of the Belts" and "AEW Rampage" before dropping the title at Death Before Dishonor 2022.That match spelled the end of his run after a backstage falling out with Khan over his presentation.Both of Gresham's PRODUCE appearances this past week streamed on pay-per-view via MyAEW and he wrestled Lee Moriarty for the ROH Pure Championship for PRODUCE in July.
