Everyone's favorite "Role Model" and her status within WWE has been a hotly-debated topic as of late, especially after Bayley's return to WWE programming this past Monday. Trying to set the record straight after so many conflicting reports, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter provided new information on her status.According to WON, Bayley has not signed a new deal, but the two sides have informally agreed on terms, and WWE expects her to re-sign in the near future. The publication noted that the first-ever Women's Grand Slam Champion and the company agreed to terms a few weeks prior to her "WWE Raw" appearance this past Monday.Earlier this week, it was reported elsewhere that Bayley and WWE have not had discussions because the star's current contract still has a lot of time left on it, meaning negotiations for a new deal is not necessary at the moment. Meltzer initially maintained that Bayley had signed a new deal before now clarifying that there is an agreement in place that has not yet been signed.Bayley's last televised match occurred on the July 18 edition of Saturday Night's Main Event, where she took a loss to her former tag team partner turned enemy, Lyra Valkyria. On Monday, during Valkyria's Money in the Bank qualifying match, Bayley sought retribution, and cost Valkyria her spot to participate in this year's Women's MITB match on October 10 in New Orleans.
