Mykhailo Mudryk could make an immediate return to the Chelsea squad for tomorrows pre-season friendly with Juventus after serving his drugs ban. The Ukraine winger has spent 20 months on the sidelines after testing positive for the banned substance meldonium. His case was resolved last week and Mudryk jumped on the first available flight to Hong Kong to join Chelseas tour of Asia.Blues boss Xabi Alonso was delighted to see the 25-year-old link up with his team-mates and the former Shakhtar Donetsk man could be thrust straight into tomorrows game with the Serie A side at Kai Tak Stadium.Alonso said: We are thrilled Misha could be with us. You could see his smile, the great feeling for him to be back. Fitness level, we will see. He has been working hard. Now its about trying to do things with his team-mates.Asked if he could feature against Juve, Alonso added: He came directly from the airport to the hotel. Yesterday was more about the feelings and emotions than to assess fitness level. But yes, he could play. Ninety minutes [is] too early. He can be selected, he can play.Hes been a long time training on his own. Its different he needs to be involved with team-mates. Hes really professional.
