Celtic have been drawn against Austrian champions LASK in the Champions League play-off round. Martin ONeills side will host the first leg on either August 18 or 19 before travelling to Austria for the return fixture a week later, with a place in the league phase at stake.LASK secured their second Austrian Bundesliga title last season, ending a 61-year wait for domestic glory, and qualified directly for the play-off round alongside Celtic.Although several lower-ranked opponents were available in the draw, the Austrian champions are widely viewed as one of the toughest possible opponents due to the strength of their domestic league.Rangers discover Europa League opponentsElsewhere, Rangers will face either Northern Irish champions Larne or Georgian side Iberia Tbilisi in the Europa League play-off round if they overcome Polish outfit Jagiellonia Bialystok in the third qualifying round.The Ibrox club will host the first leg on August 20.Should Rangers be eliminated by Jagiellonia, they will instead drop into the Conference League play-offs, where they would meet either Czech side Jablonec or Latvian champions RFS.Hearts, who dropped into the Europa League after their Champions League qualifying defeat to Sturm Graz, will face either AGF Aarhus of Denmark or Azerbaijans Sabah if they get past Benfica.If the Edinburgh club lose to Benfica, they will instead enter the Conference League play-offs against either Estonian side Paide Linnameeskond or Austrian outfit Rapid Vienna.Motherwell will take on Bundesliga side Freiburg in the Conference League play-offs if they eliminate HJK Helsinki in the current qualifying round.Hibernian, meanwhile, will face either Swedish club IFK Gothenburg or Belgian side Gent if they progress past North Macedonian champions Shkendija.
